Please note that Hopi Ear Candle treatment is not a replacement for treatment of medical conditions for which suitably qualified medical advice should be sought.
How does it work?
The candles are made from organic cotton which is dipped in a solution of honey extracts, pure beeswax, beta-carotine and traditional crushed Indian herbs, known for their therapeutic qualities, including St. John's Wort, camomile and sage.

Gentle heat from the candle stimulates blood circulation, increases the cleansing circulation of lymph from the lymphatic system, intensifies the immune system and stimulates energy points and reflex zones.
Light from the flame penetrates the auditory canal, delivering a high energy spectral frequency to important energy points.
The cleansing fire carries away negative vibrations, harmonising and balancing energy.
The candle then acts like a chimney, drawing away the vapour and any impurities from within the ear. This in turn regulates the pressure system within the ear and the head, making the treatment suitable for many conditions.
Where has it come from?
It is believed that the ancient Greeks used ear candles for cleansing, purifying and healing on a spiritual level. Centuries later, the remarkable efficiency of the candles as a physical treatment was discovered.

Why try it?
Widely used by G.P.s in Germany, as well as in European and American hospitals for many ear, nose and throat problems; Hopi Ear candles are used as an alternative to conventional allopathic treatments such as antibiotics, ear syringing and grommets.
As well as potentially offering real and marked benefits in a non-invasive manner for many ear, nose and throat problems, an ear candle treatment is a deeply relaxing, calming and soothing experience.

What does a treatment involve?
The first session begins with a consultation. A case history is taken, to identify problem areas to be treated and monitored.

With the client then lying comfortably on their back, massage of the head, face and neck is carried out to stimulate energy points, increase circulation of blood and lymph, aid the drainage of sinus tubes and promote complete relaxation.
In this relaxed state, a further 10 minutes of rest is taken before being given filtered water to drink. After which, the contents of the candles are examined and noted.
Benefits are not just gained during the treatment . Post-treatment the action of the essential oils and energy from the candle continue to work. Plugs of wax and impurities have been known to work themselves out of the ear up to 24-48 hours after a treatment.
First session: 1 - 1.25 hours
Subsequent sessions: 50 mins - 1 hour
How will I feel?
Many clients report a state of complete mental, physical and emotional relaxation, some even fall asleep. Many often comment on feeling a soothing, liberating, light sensation in the ear and head areas.
